Cost: $2,500 - Includes materials, snacks, lunch, and a t-shirt. Scholarships are available for students who hold low-income status.

Overview
UT PREP 1 is a 5-week academic enrichment summer program for students who will have graduated from 6th or 7th grade by Summer 2024 and who have an interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. UT PREP 1 students have the opportunity to master advanced concepts in their Logic, Mathematical Problem Solving, and Engineering courses while making new friends.
All students receive support from an instructor, UT student interns, and other UT faculty and staff. Activities throughout camp will be hands-on and materials will be provided. The camp also includes a mixture of lab tours, career speakers, opportunities to explore campus, sports in Gregory Gym, and college/career exploration opportunities. Every summer of UT PREP can also count as one high school CTE credit, as approved by the Texas Education Agency.
Eligibility Requirements:
A grade report containing at least 2 six-weeks or 1 nine-weeks is a required part of the application. Students should have at least an 85 average in math, science, and English. Advanced math, science, and English coursework may average an 80 or above. All other courses must average a 70 or above.

UT PREP 1 es un programa de enriquecimiento académico de verano con duración de 5 semanas. Este programa es para estudiantes que cursarán en el sexto o séptimo grado durante el año escolar 2023-2024 y están interesados en la Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas. Los cursos incluyen Lógica, Problemas Razonados, e Ingeniería.
Cada estudiante recibe atención individual del profesor(a) y varios estudiantes en prácticas de UT. Las actividades durante todo el campamento serán prácticas y los materiales serán previstos. El campamento también incluye una combinación de recorridos por laboratorios, platicas con profesionales, deportes en el gimnasio Gregory, oportunidades para explorar el campus, y oportunidades para explorar sobre las universidades y carreras. Cada verano de UT PREP puede contar como un crédito CTE de la escuela preparatoria, según lo aprobado por la Agencia de Educación de Texas.
Requisitos:
Los estudiantes presentarán sus calificaciones que tienen un mínimo de 2 seis semanas o 1 nueve semanas. Debe tener un mínimo 85 en Matemáticas, Ciencias e Inglés. 80 permitido para cursos avanzados. Todos los demás cursos deben tener un mínimo de 70.
