STEM Academy Programs
UT PREP is accredited by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and must be completed sequentially, starting with UT PREP 1. However, every year, we open seats up in UT PREP 2-4 to students who haven’t completed PREP 1. These programs are known as STEM Academy Programs.
• Physics & Math = PREP 2
• Research & Statistics = PREP 3
• Engineering & CS = PREP 4
We created the STEM Academy because we believe these students bring unique insights, diverse perspectives, and fresh ways of thinking to our classrooms. They are a vital part of creating and nurturing the special learning environment at camp!
STEM Academy Programs vs. UT PREP
STEM Academy students participate in the same classes and activities as UT PREP students, including the graduation ceremony! The primary difference is that UT PREP students receive a TEA-accredited transcript in the fall, which awards high school credit. Families acknowledge this difference as part of the application process.
Research & Statistics
Research & Statistics graduates will receive priority registration for the following summer's Engineering & CS Camp.
Engineering & Computer Science
Following the completion of this camp, students will be added to our exclusive mailing list, where we share opportunities for research, volunteering, and more.
