The University of Texas Research & Statistics Camp is for students in the 8th and 9th grades interested in university-level research. In this six-week camp, students have the opportunity to explore UT labs while working in one themselves on their own independent inquiry. Students also take Probability, Statistics, and Technical Writing to supplement their research endeavors. This camp is NOT for high school credit.
How are the children chosen? Students need to submit grades for the 2017-18 school year through the 3rd 6-weeks (additional weeks may be requested), and an application (see below) to apply for the program. Students should have at least an 85 average in math, science, and English. Advanced coursework may average an 80 or above.
Each camper receives individual attention from a Master Teacher and several UT student interns. Throughout their time here at UT, campers will eat lunch in common areas alongside UT students, explore different places on campus, swim in the pool, and play sports in the gym.
