Physics & Math Camp
Overview
The University of Texas Physics & Math Camp is for students who will have graduated from 7th or 8th grade by Summer 2026 and are interested in ways that math and physics can change the world. In this five-week camp, students have the opportunity to master advanced concepts in their Physics, Advanced Mathematical Problem Solving, Algebraic Structures and Electrical Engineering II courses while making new friends.
All students receive support from an instructor, UT student interns, and other faculty and staff. This camp also includes a mixture of lab tours, career speakers, and college/career exploration opportunities. This camp is NOT for high school credit.
Registration Requirements: Seats fill first come, first served. A complete registration contains the following components:
- UT Ideal Logic PREP Application.
- Submit the application using the link above.
- UT EID. Create a UT EID and enter it in the application. You can create one here, for step by step instructions, check out a how-to video here.
- Student Survey.A student’s google email (separate from parent/guardian) is required to receive the student survey link. Student’s will receive the link once the application is submitted.
- Copy of your Student's Grade Report
- This can be uploaded to the online application or via email summercamps@uteach.utexas.edu.
- Must have minimum 2 six-weeks or 1 nine-weeks of grades.
- Grade Requirements:
- Must have an 85 minimum in Math, Science & English. 80 allowed for advanced courses.
- All other courses must have a 70 minimum.
2026 Information
When: June 15th - July 23rd, 2026 (Mon - Thurs). No camp June 18th, June 29th - July 3rd.
Where: The University of Texas at Austin
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Price: $2,700
- Includes materials, snacks, lunch, and a t-shirt.
- No scholarships
