Chemistry Camp
Overview
The University of Texas Chemistry Camp focuses on sparking excitement about chemistry for students who will have graduated from 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade by Summer 2025. Students will have the opportunity to explore new concepts, conduct hands-on science experiments, make new friends, and explore campus. Below is a list of past topics that have been covered during Chemistry Camp:
- Atomic Scale
- Chromatography
- Density
- Endothermic & exothermic reactions
- Experimental design
- Phase transitions
- Physical & Chemical Properties
- Polymers
- Temperature & States of Matter
Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students receive support from an instructor, UT student interns, and other faculty and staff. Activities throughout camp will be hands-on. The camp also includes a mixture of college/career exploration opportunities, games, and sports at Gregory Gym.
When:
- Session I: June 3rd - June 7th, 2024
- 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
OR
- Session II: July 29th - August 2nd, 2024
- 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Cost:
$599 - Includes materials, snacks, and a t-shirt.
