Students who are working on their UTeach teacher certification play a critical role within our program. These UTeach interns are sharpening their skills for their professional career while having a positive impact on their local community.
Summer Internships
Summer internships provide more field hours than all of your UTeach courses combined! As an intern, you will gain experience while working alongside amazing teachers and giving back to your community. Pay rate is $18/hour. Fall and Spring Internships
To qualify for a UTeach Outreach internship, you must be currently enrolled in the UTeach program and have prior approval from our staff before you are able to apply through the UTeach internship system. You should use the following steps to gain approval and officially apply for an internship.
- Step 1 - Learn more about possible positions on our fall and spring internships page and on the UTeach Internships site. Decide which of our positions is right for you and your goals.
- Step 2 - Complete our application here or email us about your interest at outreach@uteach.utexas.edu. A member of our staff will follow up with next steps!
- Step 3 - Check out specific UTeach internship requirements and documentation necessary for all UTeach internship placements. You will need to complete the items found in the link above if you've been invited to join our team.
Pay rate is $15/hr as outlined on the UTeach internship page. Amount of hours you will work per week is determined by your position and semester schedule.
We value our partnership with the University Leadership Network and their amazing students. Through our collaboration we've been able to provide a variety of experiential learning experiences for ULN students. Through our internship positions, these students have had opportunities to prepare for their future career fields while making a lasting impact on their local community.
