I am excited to join UTeach Outreach because I love that this program aims to help young children in low income communities.
I believe that this internship will help me with my long term goals by giving me more of an insight into programs that help support children. I want to get my foot in the door and explore my options because as a social work major I am an advocate in my community in many ways and advocating for children is one option I want to explore. My long-term goals as of right now is to graduate with my bachelors degree in social work and possibly government with a minor in communication studies and to continue my education by getting a masters degree in social work so that I could work within policy work in the future.
