Requirements

NOTE: Age requirements are not flexible. 

Chemistry Camp is open to students who will have graduated from 3rd or 4th grade by summer 2020. 

Research in Life Sciences Camp is open to students who will have graduated from 5th or 6th grade by summer 2020. 

UT PREP 1 is open to students who will have graduated from 6th or 7th grade by summer 2020. 

Students must be in good academic standing, with at least a 90 average in mathematics, science, and English. Advanced coursework may have an average of 85.

Required application components include:

  • The online application including all sections and forms 
  • The teacher recommendation form, completed by a current mathematics or science teacher 
  • The hand-written student essay (see template on website for required format) 
  • A copy of your most recent report card
  • $25 non-refundable application fee

UT PREP 2, 3, and 4 are only open to students who have completed the previous level of UT PREP. 

Physics & Math Camp is open to students who will have graduated from 7th grade by summer 2020. Students will be required to submit a student essay and a recent report card in their application. Only high-quality essays will be accepted. A different program may be recommended to the student based on the student's courses and grades. 

Research & Statistics Camp is open to students who will have graduated from 8th grade by summer 2020. Students will be required to submit a student essay and a recent report card in their application. Only high-quality essays will be accepted. A different program may be recommended to the student based on the student's courses and grades. 

Engineering & Computer Science Camp is open to students who will have graduated from 9th grade by summer 2020. Students will be required to submit a student essay and a recent report card in their application. Only high-quality essays will be accepted. A different program may be recommended to the student based on the student's courses and grades.
