Daniel is excited to be a part of a program that strives to better the academic lives of students in the Austin area. As a pre-med student, he is constantly thinking about ways in which we can improve the health of our society, and he believes that one way to do that is to provide educational opportunities beyond the typical in-school experience. He is passionate about helping students realize that they are capable and deserving of a college education.
"Communities that are better-educated lead healthier lives than those that aren't; indirectly, UTeach is doing a service to the health of our future generations and I am honored to be a member of this team. I would like to one day serve rural communities, such as my own back in northeast Texas, and I believe that working with UTeach will be a great stepping stone towards that goal."
